3D UVs and Textures

Jumping Robot

This model was UV'd within Maya, by projecting UV's along different directional planes before cutting and sewing the different pieces together. Once the UV map was complete, textures were added in Photoshop and accentuated through the use of different mentalray-based materials, such as the glass and plastic simulations.

Bouncing Bird

This model was UV'd in a similar manner to the Robot mesh, but made much more active use of bump and specular maps to produce a detailed and accurate final texture map. The specular and transparency components of the hair system were also adjusted to create a more visually pleasing result.
