Over the past year I have started playing tabletop games with some of my friends and colleagues, which I find is a brilliant opportunity to practice improvisation and storytelling. It also allows me to experiment with drawing characters and locations from only a rough description or simple blurb.
I joined a team for the Game Maker's Toolkit Game Jam, where we had to create a game in 48 hours on the theme 'Out of Control'. I designed and created all in-game assets for our rhythm-based dating sim 'Cursed Date', which can be found here. We ranked in the top 10% across all 4 judging categries, and in the top 200 for both Originality and Presentation!
Pre-Production for my third-year major project, Space-ial Interests, centered around a scavenging alien and their junk-collecting spaceship.

Character concept art for a brief where child and adult versions of a historical figure were to be designed. I chose to study Toussaint Louverture, the Haitian revolutionary, as I found him to be a facinating man with many contradictory qualities.
